The Deputy Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and the Deputy Head of the British Foreign Office discussed promising areas for deepening bilateral relations

On January 10, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov held negotiations with Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom Leo Docherty, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties exchanged views on the state and promising directions for Uzbekistan – the UK dialogue in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, and also discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events.

It was noted that in recent years relations between Uzbekistan and the UK have been intensively developing, mutually beneficial partnership on all aspects of the bilateral agenda is progressively expanding. It was emphasized that economic diplomacy is considered as one of the key components of bilateral cooperation.

The deputy foreign ministries also discussed current international and regional issues.
