Collaborative endeavor: Uzbekistan and Great Britain ponder film tribute to Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur

A meeting took place on February 23 at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, involving discussions with Mamta Kaash, the producer of the series "Mughals", and Gareth Jones, the screenwriter from the company "Scenario Films".

The focal point of the meeting was the deliberation on the project aimed at creating a film depicting the life of the eminent poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur.

The British delegation emphasized that the script for the film would draw inspiration from the historical masterpiece "Boburname". Furthermore, there were discussions regarding the potential for filming the movie in English, with plans to showcase it prominently on the big screens in Western countries.

Both parties expressed confidence that the proposed project would significantly contribute to acquainting the residents of Great Britain and Western nations with the rich history, culture, traditions, and values of the Uzbek people, encapsulated through the portrayal of Bobur.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to convene an online session between British filmmakers and representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan. This session aims to delve into detailed discussions concerning the filming process for this esteemed project.
