The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London hosted the official inauguration of the Student’s Union of Uzbekistan.
The event saw the presence of Uzbek students enrolled in prestigious UK universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, London School of Economics, and Imperial College London.
Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov commenced the proceedings with an opening address, highlighting the opportunities and forthcoming initiatives tailored for the youth in Uzbekistan, who are integral to the country’s progress. He commended the unity among Uzbek students in the UK.
During the gathering, the leaders of the Student’s Union presented their plans and activities. They stressed the importance of continuing the current state youth policies and outlined the goal of promoting Uzbekistan’s rich culture and history in Great Britain through various events.
As part of the Union’s launch ceremony, an intellectual game named "Zakovat" was organized, engaging Uzbek students studying in the UK. Divided into six teams, participants competed across five rounds, with winners selected and awarded prizes from the Embassy.
