LONDON, September 22. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov met with David Leigh-Pemberton, Deputy Director of the British Fashion Council, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the dialogue, the foreign side was briefed on the significant potential of Uzbekistan’s textile industry and the most advanced, efficient practices in cotton cultivation.
The parties discussed opportunities for collaboration, particularly regarding the entry of major businesses and entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan’s textile sector into the British market.
The British Fashion Council was invited to participate in an international conference focused on the creative economy, scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan from October 2-4 of this year.
Following the discussions, an agreement was reached to enhance the participation of Uzbek clothing brands in events organized by the British Fashion Council.
Established in 1983, the British Fashion Council promotes leading designers and brands within the global fashion industry. London Fashion Week, held twice a year by the council, is recognized as one of the most significant events in the fashion calendar.
