Chapter 1. General Provisions
1. These Regulations determine the procedure for holding the Lazgi International Dance Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Festival).
2. The festival is held in order to:
3. The festival is held in the city of Khiva, Khorezm region on April 25-30, once every two years, starting since 2022.
4. Organization and holding of the Festival is coordinated by the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the Lazgi International Dance Festival (hereinafter - the Organizing Committee).
5. The festival is organized and conducted by the Ministry of Culture and the Hokimiyat of the Khorezm region (hereinafter - the organizers).
Chapter 2. Procedure and conditions of the Festival
6. The following events are held within the framework of the Festival:
7. The Festival is attended by professional dance groups and performers from Uzbekistan and foreign countries.
8. Performers participating in the Festival are divided into:
solo performers - dancers and dancers with high qualifications and experience in the art of dance;
dance art collectives - collectives consisting of dancers and dancers with high qualifications and experience in the field of dance art.
9. Participants are divided into two categories:
domestic participants - outstanding representatives and creative groups of dance art, engaged in creativity on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
international participants - prominent representatives and creative groups of the dance art of foreign countries.
10. Creative delegations of up to 10 members from each country are invited to the Festival as members of the jury and participants of competition and conference will be approved by the Organizing Committee, their internal costs (accommodation, meals and internal transport) in the Republic of Uzbekistan are covered by the organizers.
11. Participants who have expressed a desire to participate in the Festival should send an online application to a special email address lazgidancefestival@gmail.com until March 10 (is deadline) of the year of the Festival and provide information (photo and video) about their performance program.
All applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee by April 1, and the results, including the list of accepted and non-selected participants, will be announced through official e-mail.
At the same time, the following requirements are imposed on the participants of the Festival:
Participation should not exceed 10 minutes (as well as for whom are participating at international scientific and practical conference);
the number of members of creative delegations participating from each country should not exceed 10 people.
Dance artists, scientists - musicologists, artists, creative teams, specialists and guests of honor who have expressed a desire to participate in the Festival at their own expense (with the exception of up to 10 members of creative delegations) can take part by the invitation of the organizers.
12. Uzbek, Russian and English languages are established by the working languages of the Festival.
Chapter 3. Procedure for participation in a scientific and practical conference held within the framework of the Festival
13. Scientific applicants engaged in scientific and creative activities in the field of dance art can take part in the scientific-practical conference.
14. Persons who have expressed a desire to participate in the scientific and practical conference, send their articles and abstracts to a special email address of the Festival in the amount of at least 300 words, no more than 4-5 pages, in electronic form before March 10 of the year of the Festival.
15. The list of participants in the scientific and practical conference is formed by the Organizing Committee and announced to all participants before
April 1 of the year of the Festival.
All applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee by April 1, and the results, including the list of accepted and non-selected participants, will be announced through official e-mail.
16. Each participant of the scientific and practical conference is awarded
a certificate.
17. The presentation of certificates to the participants of the scientific and practical conference is carried out during the closing ceremony of the Festival.
Chapter 4. Organization of the activities of the International Jury
18. To evaluate the performances of the participants of the competition,
the Organizing Committee forms an International Jury, consisting of 7 people.
19. The members of the International Jury are renowned masters of dance

20. The members of the International Jury shall elect the President of the Jury from among their members.
21. Members of the International Jury are encouraged by the Organizing Committee in the form of a fee in the following amount:
to the Chairman of the International Jury - 2,000 (two thousand) US dollars;
each member of the International Jury - 1,000 (one thousand) US dollars.
22. In the assessment process, the main criteria are:
23. The performances of the participants are evaluated by the International Jury in
3 nominations (“Best solo dancer”, “Best dance group”, “Best staged dance”).
Chapter 5. Awarding procedure
24. The winners of the competition held within the framework of the Festival are awarded by the Organizing Committee with a diploma, a statuette and a cash prize in the following amount:
Grand Prix - USD 7,000;
for 1st place in the nominations:
Best Solo Dancer - USD 5,000;
“Best Dance Group” - USD 5,000;
Best Stage Dance - USD 5,000;
for the 2nd place in the nominations:
Best Solo Dancer - USD 3,000;
“Best Dance Group” - USD 3,000;
Best Stage Dance - USD 3,000;
for 3rd place in the nominations:
Best Solo Dancer - US $ 2,000;
“Best Dance Group” - USD 2,000;
Best Stage Dance - US $ 2,000.
25. In the nominations “Best Dance”, “Best Choreographer”, “Best Young Dancer” (“Best Young Dancer”), established within the framework of the Festival in order to support and encourage active performers, participants are awarded incentive gifts and prizes.
26. Organizers, creative unions and sponsoring organizations may establish special prizes to award performers, choreographers, scientists and art critics who have received recognition from members of the International Jury and fans.
27. For each additional nomination, the organizers may allocate cash prizes in the amount of 500 US dollars.
Chapter 6. Rights of the organizers
