“From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you, all the Muslims of our country, respectable fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, energetic youth, all our people on Ramadan Hayit and express you my best wishes. Ramadan – a month of good deeds, generosity and mercy – has for centuries held a special place in the spiritual life of our society,” he said.
Mirziyoyev emphasized that this year during this holy month, such noble qualities of the Uzbek people as persistence, the quality to be thankful, the desire for spiritual purification, attention to those who need support, and the performance of good deeds were especially pronounced.
The head of state noted that in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as various trials and natural disasters, the courageous people of Uzbekistan, not despairing, following the divine instruction “Allah favors those who are patient and steadfast in spirit”, showed the highest example of humanism, unity and consistency, which has been acknowledged by the world community.
“On this wonderful holiday, I once again express my deep gratitude to our generous and responsive entrepreneurs and farmers, all compatriots of different professions and ages, who sympathized with others during Ramadan,” the President emphasized.
Mirziyoyev noted that today the people of Uzbekistan, like all the peoples of the world, are going through a difficult time in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
“As the holy Quran stated, the Almighty Allah calls on people to be patient and support each other in the days of trials: “Relief will come for every burden”. Indeed, over time, any hardships are left behind, they are replaced by joyful and bright days. The present difficulties will surely become a thing of the past, we still have a lot of wonderful holidays, Hayits, which, I am sure, we will widely celebrate all together.
Taking this opportunity, on behalf of the people of Uzbekistan, I sincerely congratulate all Muslims of the near and far abroad. I wish them peace and prosperity. May all the good hopes and aspirations of our people come true. May the Almighty Allah support us in all our good deeds,” the head of state concluded.
