Uzbekistan and Norway held high level talks

On June 24, 2020, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov held talks with the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Audun Halvorsen.

Deputy Minister Asadov congratulated the Norway with the election to the UN Security Council as the non-permanent member for 2021-2022 and expressed his confidence that Norway will make a significant input to UNSC functions in addressing the issues international peace and security.

The parties also discussed strengthening the bilateral political dialogue and enhancing cooperation between the parliaments. They also stressed the need to realize the large untapped potential in trade, investment, education, tourism and culture.
