Uzbekistan is increasingly recognized as a peaceful and safe destination, with its progress reflected in leading global indexes

In the newly published 2026 Global Peace Index, the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness, Uzbekistan received a “high” rating for its state of peace, joining the ranks of countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, and Sweden. The country improved its position by 10 places, becoming the most peaceful nation in Central Asia and the second most peaceful country in the wider Eastern Europe and Central Asia region.
