
Ambassador Said Rustamov and Wendy Morton, UK Deputy Foreign Minister & Minister for International Development held virtual talks to discuss the current state & prospects for the development of Uzbek-British bilateral relations.
During the conversation, high-ranking diplomats raised a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, in particular, joint efforts to effectively respond to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, intensify political contacts and inter-parliamentary dialogue, UK assistance in the implementation of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, as well as, further expending the legal base for cooperation.
The Intensification of Uzbek-British interactions within international organizations, primarily in the UN and its specialized agencies was highlighted.
