The procedure for conducting express testing for the antigen of coronavirus infection at the airport, at the train station or at the border checkpoint at the expense of all persons visiting Uzbekistan by air, rail and border transport was introduced by the resolution of the Republican Special Commission No. 55 dated December 18. 2020 canceled from March 15, 2021.
In accordance with the new rules, visitors arriving in Uzbekistan by air and rail must provide a certificate of coronavirus infection, tested only by PCR, with negative readings received within the last 72 hours before checking in for a flight or rail. The results of PCR tests for coronavirus infection must be in English or Russian and must be checked in advance by staff of the relevant airline or railway company before registering for air or rail travel, and the procedure is monitored on the territory of Uzbekistan by the epidemiological service at the respective airport, railway station and border crossing points.
In the case of a positive result of an express test for the antigen of coronavirus infection in citizens of Uzbekistan and stateless persons passing through border checkpoints, they are sent to special medical institutions for self-isolation purposes.
From March 25, 2021, visitors to Uzbekistan from foreign countries will be registered for flights or trains only based on the results of PCR tests for coronavirus infection in recognized laboratories.
